The Studio was founded in 1998 by artist Tedd Stratis as an alternative space for contemporary art. For 10 years, The Studio has provided a congenial environment for artists and art-lovers to experience quality art and to share their ideas and enthusiasm. Please enjoy this virtual gallery, which showcases a selection of artists in the artist directory. The Studio office and Sculpture Garden is located at 2 Maryland Avenue in Armonk, New York. The Sculpture Garden is open by appointment. For more information, please contact Katie Stratis at director@thestudiony-alternative.org. The Studio exhibitions continue to showcase the work of various artists, from the emerging to the mid-career to the established. The curated off-site exhibitions include a variety of media, from painting and photography to video art and sound art. Additionally, the gardens include an ongoing curated group exhibition of contemporary sculpture. The Artists' Open Studios endeavor is an expansion of our decade-long effort to foster an appreciation for contemporary art by exhibiting art, hosting tours and lectures and maintaining the ongoing public sculpture site at North Castle Town Hall. On June 14, come and see the new kinetic sculpture entitled "Eclipse" being installed by the artist Drew Klotz in front of North Castle Town Hall. see Press Release The Studio has been and continues to be an important advocate for the visual arts in Westchester County and beyond.
