the Date Artists’ Open Studio , May 17 & 18, 2008 |
February 8, 2008 Dear Friends of The Studio, You will soon be receiving detailed information about an exciting weekend in May, when artists and other alternative art spaces throughout Westchester will open to the public. Take a moment now to jot down a note in your calendar, and save the dates of May 17th and May 18th for an art tour of Westchester county, including locations at The Studio Sculpture Garden, Cole Farm Studios, the Gallery at Cole Farm, Copperhead Press and individual artists’ studios. This two day event is hosted by The Studio in Armonk, and is sponsored by a number of local Westchester businesses and art collectors. The Artists’ Open Studios 2008 endeavor is an expansion of The Studio’s decade-long effort to foster an appreciation for contemporary art by exhibiting art, hosting tours and lectures and maintaining the ongoing public sculpture site at North Castle Town Hall. The Studio: An Alternative Space for Contemporary Art is currently an all volunteer, not-for-profit arts organization and is an affiliate of the Westchester Arts Council. The Studio has been, and continues to be, an important advocate for the visual arts in Westchester County. Please add my new email address to your address book to receive timely information about our exhibitions and events: thestudiony@verizon.net.
