The Westchester Community College Fine Arts Gallery in Valhalla, New York presented Transformers: The Art of Assemblage. The exhibition included works by three artists from the Northeast region; Natasha Cohen, Shiela Hale, and Lucy Krupenye. Transformers: The Art of Assemblage was curated by J. Sculpture Site: Armonk Town Hall

On June 13, Cathrin Hoskinson installed a large-scale sculpture entitled "Tree and Sky." The piece is made of cut and painted aluminum and was recently exhibited in the 22nd Rosen Outdoor Sculpture Competition. Cathrin states, "I think of the sculpture as a poem. The overlay of metaphors becomes an idea of the self in its   surroundings. Press Release

Artists and other alternative art spaces throughout Westchester opened their doors to the public for this two-day, self-guided art tour. Locations included The Studio Sculpture Garden, Cole Farm Studios, Copperhead Press and individual artists’ studios.

Frank Lloyd Wrigtht and Usonia: An Experiment in Living
The Studio was pleased to host a lecture by Roland Reisley, author of “USONIA NEW YORK: BUILDING A
COMMUNITY WITH FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT.” (Princeton Architectural Press) Mr. Reisley has documented the Usonia phenomenon by recording oral histories in order to preserve the particular perspective on the quality of life experienced by the people who created the community.

Architectural Tour
Tour the Community of Usonia
The Studio hosted an architectural tour of Usonia, the Frank Lloyd Wright community located in Pleasantville, NY. The tour will be led by Roland Reisley, an original resident of Usonia and author of the book “USONIA NEW YORK: BUILDING A COMMUNITY WITH FRANK LLOYD WRIGHT.” (Princeton Architectural Press) A Continental Breakfast and a catered lunch at a Unsonian home were included in the tour.
