Statement |
|
|
The major components of my paintings are line, surface quality, and color. I work to simplify the design and reduce the painting to its most basic elements. I will rarely break the picture plane with any illusion of depth or perspective, and allow the surface integrity to carry the weight of the painting. My objective is to evoke a purely visual experience rather than engage the viewer on an intellectual level.
