Artist Statement

Drew Klotz's kinetic sculptures range from a kaleidoscope of color to a more minimalistic formal approach. The work (propelled by air currents) appears to be in a constant multidirectional motion. He has a very playful side as can be seen in his audio-kinetic work. Drew Says, "Art is supposed to be fun."

The artist came from a family of Wilton artists. Earning a degree from Cooper Union, he went on to work in New York City making props for novelty trade shows, television commercials and children's programs, including the original PeeWee Herman Show.   Sherri Daley, Westport News
