Artist Statement

I had a dream about a friend who was able to unzip his body and revealed a squirrel inside. He then reached into his fur and uncovered several different animals inside all with more zippers. I think of that dream often when I make my art.

My images are often losoely based on Tarot cards, tribal art and the masks of the Norhwest Coast Indians. These arts often present a singulart image of great importance. I am interested in Tarot for their appearance of deeper meaning and layering of interpretations.
