In these works I am continuing my fascination with color exploration. These hues, from the South Pacific, give me the challenge of balancing forms and energetic brushwork. By abstractly using the imagery and highly saturated colors from this area of the world, my paintings are taking a new bold direction. The strength, exuberance and spirituality inherent in this area of the world are depicted in these works. “Seduced by color on a recent journey to the South Pacific, artist Joyce Wenglowski has abandoned herself to the power of the brush.
